AUDREY CATENA
I am a scenographer, stage designer, light designer/operator, and researcher exploring materiality—particularly how space, light, and texture interact with sound and movement. My practice is rooted in the music and performance worlds, where I create immersive environments that heighten sensory and emotional experience.
My passion lies in creating spaces that engage the human body—spaces that invite interaction and reveal the aesthetic and emotional potential of their architecture. I’m fascinated by how light, materials, and form can shape perception and feeling, often drawing inspiration from everyday details. For me, the street is a stage: a living choreography of gestures, expressions, and unspoken narratives.
The human body—its flow, emotion, and capacity for connection—remains central to my approach, both as subject and co-creator of space. I aim to develop scenographies that respond to this fluidity, blurring the boundaries between audience, performer, and environment.
I’m currently looking to collaborate with creatives in music and live arts—as a scenographer, light assistant, or artistic support—on projects that blend sound, visuals, and physical space in meaningful and experimental ways.
The magic of collaboration is something I hold dear, finding joy in the collective learning process and the effervescent creation cloud that hovers above us during collaborative endeavors.
My love for collaboration extends across diverse realms, from concert stages to catwalks and even theater productions. Each venture presents a unique canvas for creative expression, allowing me to weave together different perspectives and talents to craft something truly magical.
