During this week, I deliberately abstained from using my phone and avoiding distractions. Instead, I immersed myself in on-site exploration and kept a daily journal for documentation.
Me scouting for location.
I designed an art installation where individuals could express chaos by engaging with the noise generated by plastic in the strong winds along the shore. The installation takes the form of a narrow tunnel leading to an open dune—a gap nestled between two dunes. This unique space abruptly shields one from the wind and associated noise, offering a sudden transition into pure quietness. The intentionally narrow design of the tunnel ensures a more immersive experience, as it directs the wind forcefully into your face, providing a visceral sensation that, while not the most comfortable, effectively allows you to truly feel the power of the wind. The juxtaposition of this intense encounter with the subsequent tranquility serves to emphasize the chaotic nature of the wind and heightens the subsequent sense of peacefulness.
